Last week, Nissan announced via a press release that the 2016 Murano earned recognition as the "Activity Vehicle of Texas" earlier this month during the Texas Auto Writers Association's (TAWA) Texas Auto Roundup. For two days, automotive journalists from around the country gathered at the Texas Motor Speedway to test drive 53 new vehicles in 17 categories.

"Our members were impressed by the Murano as a versatile crossover in a highly competitive category," said Nicholas Phillips, president, TAWA. "Particularly, Murano scored highly for its well-executed, luxurious interior and its bold exterior styling, which pushed it to the front of the category pack."

Available in front-wheel drive or Intuitive All-Wheel Drive, the 2016 Murano is powered by a 3.5-liter DOHC V6 engine, paired with an advanced Xtronic transmission. It offers a full array of available advanced safety features, including Moving Object Detection (MOD), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW), Forward Emergency Braking (FEB), and Driver Attention Alert (DAA).
